Beauty Look | #NYE Evening Glam Look - Featuring the #Tarteist Pro Palette

Here is another makeup inspiration that is a take on a #NYE Evening Glam look! This is a softer yet glam makeup look that uses a classic smokey eye with soft shimmer on top! This was a fun look to do because it was a mix of neutral colours as well as colour shimmers. To balance the look, I paired it with a Neutral medium toned Pink Lip.

This looks features the Tarteist™ Pro Palette which  I am sooooo happy that I bought! I love that the majority of the palette has Matte shades, with 4 really pretty duo/chrome/shimmer shades. The blue shimmer shade inspired me to do this #NYE Evening Glam Makeup Look!

Happy #NYE!

Makeup Tip: Glitter is very tricky to work with since there is major fall out and pretty much can end up all over your face! Therefore use the following: Eye Drops! If you don't have lash glue or any other mixing medium, a few drops will allow you to mix and then apply on the lid.

This was such a fun look! I am very happy with the warmth the Tarteist Pro palette allowed me to do. The NYX Cosmetics shimmer really ads the right amount of pop!

Good luck with your NYE Glitter Makeup looks!

Fun Makeup | #12DaysofChristmas Makeup Looks | Day 2: Starry Night

Today brings Day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas Makeup Looks by @MakeupbySand aka Me! I'm so excited to share the rest of the really fun and sparkly looks for the month. I created this look with the festive nights in mind, therefore this look is called: Starry Night! Enjoy the pics and details below!

Products Used:

Face
  • Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk #6.25 Foundation
  • Giorgio Armani #100 Bronzer
  • MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Candlelight
  • MAC Blush in Passionately Tempted

Eyes
  • Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Tuxedo (Black) and Moonlight (Sparkly Champagne)
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 (Gun Metal)
  • Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette
  • Vasanti Cosmetics Shimmer Powder in Arctic Shimmer (DC) *Use any sparkle shimmer. See tip*
  • Giorgio Armani Eye Pencil in #4 & Eyes To Kill Mascara
  • Quo Liquid Liner in Black

Lips
  • Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro #202
  • Giorgio Armani Lip Gloss #107
TIP: In order to keep the sparkle pigment in place, I used a concealer brush to apply it and used a couple of eye drops in the lid to mix the sparkle pigment and "placed" it on the lid and softly blended out.

I kept the lips super neutral because the eyes have so much drama with the sparkly effect which I am seriously obsessed with! If I could, I would wear bling on my eyes all day long! (Side note: I wore this look from 11am to 10pm and it did not move or lose it's sparkle factor! The tip above totally helps!)

I hope you enjoyed this look and feel free to try it out and share the look with me. This is a perfect look for the holidays and  for New Year's Eve! Tune in tomorrow for the next look :)

Happy Holidays!

EOTD: Glam & Dramatic - Holiday Look 2

The holidays have been filled with so much family, friends, parties and of course food!  Now that Christmas has passed, everyone is getting excited for New Year's Eve 2013!

Depending on your plans, if you are going to go out for dinner or to dance the night away, here is a fun dramatic and glam eye look.  Perfect for a night out to celebrate the new year to come.

PRODUCTS USED:
1. Prep - Apply Primer all over the eye area and underneath the lower lash line.

2. Lid - Apply a Medium Grey Blue Shadow all over the lid, packing on the colour well.

3. Crease - Apply a warm rose gold shade onto the crease, blend well into the blue.

4. Outer Crease - Apply a light soft brown into the corner edge and blend into the crease.

5. Water Line - Apply a bright blue liner which helps eyes pop!

6. Lower Lash line - Using the same bright blue liner, start in the middle underneath the lash line and apply outward and extend. This line underneath should be thick. Take a shimmer shadow in the same shade of blue and layer the colour on top of the created line.

7. Inner Corner - Use a bright vanilla shimmer shade into the corner tear duct and blend out into the lash line, blending with the blue line, not going past the middle point.

8. Eyeliner - Take a waterproof black pencil liner and create a thin line close to the lower lash line from the inner to the outer corner.

9. Top Lash line - Apply Liquid Liner and wing out right above the blue line.  Apply 2 coats of mascara for extra drama!

10. Brow Bone - Using the same shade applied into the inner crease, apply to the brow bone under the brows.

Pair this look with a nude peach lip colour and top it off with a clear lip gloss for added dimension.

Whether your dress is black, silver, gold, magenta, purple or any of the colours below, this makeup will look amazing with your dress of choice!
